A bride's worst nightmare is planning an outdoor wedding with no back up plan if it rains.  Florida, beach, late afternoon can be a very bad combination for a girl on her special day.  Let me tell you, its not a photographers favorite thing either...although it can turn out to be absolutely spectacular as did this beach wedding that I did last week!  Let's start with the "First Look"...yes, it was meant to be at the beach but because of the rain, we had to do it in the courtyard of the beach condos.  Not a popular choice for the photographer but...what else can you do but get creative (making lemonade with lemons right?).

It was so romantic!  She came downstairs with all of her attendants and he was waiting anxiously...Out of all of the "First Look" captures, I don't think I have ever seen a groom so 'taken back'.  He was floored at her beauty and his emotion and love was very evident. This is going to be a beautiful marriage.  They are soooo in love!

So now the next challenge...rain, rain, go away!  Half of the point of the first look is doing the portraits early and not having the pressure after the ceremony.  We had no where to go.  It was the courtyard in the condos.  We will do our best!

So here is the lemonade.  Not bad for a rainy day with no pretty scenery.  Fortunately this adventure is about to take a turn for the better.

Don't be sad dear bride...

The groomsmen ... what a funny thing!  I am not sure how and why they ended up standing there holding the flowers.  My sense of humour loved this!

I recommend (at a risk) to go to the beach and try to get our pics.  Its Florida, things are not always how they appear.  My brave bride set forth!

And WALLAH!

We made it with a few sprinkles here and there!

I could not have asked for anything better.  What a happy ending.

And even though there were a few rain drops...we made it happily through the rest of the day.  It is 'for sure' a happily ever after ending!

The photo above...is my favorite one of the bunch!
